A classic of from the early twentieth century. La Boutique Fantasque is a fun and witty ballet about friendship and loyalty. With music by Ottorino Respighi based on works by Gaichino Rossini, the baller provides a context for studying music, movement, and elements of literature and story-telling such as narrative, characters, motif. 

With guest artist any a youth cast from Wissahickon Dance Academy.

IBE’s free, fully staged production of The Sleeping Beauty, a ballet performed to the gorgeous music of Tchaikovsky provides a wonderful context for studying music, movement, and elements of literature and story-telling, such as narrative, characters, motifs, fairy tales, and oral tradition.

With guest artists and a youth cast from Wissahickonance Academy in Germantown, Willard Elementary School, and J.B. Kelly Elementary School.

INE’s free, fully staged original ballet to the music of Antonio Vivaldi interprets the passage of the seasons through the Greek myth of Persephone, whose annual journey to and from the Underworld marks the passage of spring, summer, fall, and winter. The Four Seasons provides a wonderful context for studying science (why do we have seasons?), ecology, music, language arts, geography, and more
